Jason Mehrdad Jazayeri is the President of ACEC Consultants, Inc., a
construction engineering and consulting firm located in Irvine. He has more than
25 years of experience in the construction industry as a general contractor and
construction consultant. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Construction
Engineering and Management from the University of California at Berkeley, and a
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign where he graduated with high honors. He is both a licensed
professional engineer and a licensed general contractor.
In the last 15 years, in addition to overseeing construction projects, he has
concentrated on dispute resolution and partnering workshops. In that capacity,
he has testified in court and other dispute resolution forums as an expert
witness. His clients include many cities, municipalities, school districts, and
Caltrans. He has participated in various types of construction projects
including school modernizations, commercial buildings, educational buildings,
medical facilities, surgery centers, airports, manufacturing plants, and public
works projects. He has extensive experience in analyzing costs, establishing
schedules, administering construction projects, and analyzing claims.
Mr. Jazayeri has been active in various professional and civic organizations.
For example, he is a past chair of the American Society of Civil Engineers’
Forensic Engineering Technical Group, where he served on the technical board for
4 years. He has also been on various homeowner association boards, where he
served for over 10 years. Last year he was awarded the “Donna Van Slyke Memorial
Award”, by the non-profit organization of Orange County Reads One Book for his
volunteer work in that organization. Currently, he is actively involved with
both the Iranian American Democrats, and the National Iranian American Council
(NIAC).
Mr. Jazayeri is a passionate proponent of political reform and strides to
promote a better understanding of the American political system by the Iranian
American community. He is actively involved in political organizations that
promote the cause of the Iranian American community and looks forward to an
ever-increasing participation by other Iranian Americans to advance the interest
of our community.
Mr. Jazayeri has lived and worked in Irvine with his wife and two children since
1979.
