Treasurer - Majid Movahed

Mr. Movahed has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State University in Los Angles. Since 1982 he has worked in number of Civil consulting firms in Houston, TX , and California.  He was a Project Manager for a Big Horn golf course/estate  a multi million dollars project in Palm Desert California.   He moved to California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in 1993, and currently works as a pavement engineer responsible for maintaining 2000 lane-miles of freeways and highways in Orange County.

Mr. Movahed has been involved in number of community works in Highland.   He has couched soccer team for AYSO league, East Highland Ranch community swim team/soccer, Iranian Youth Club, and served as technical advisor and webmaster for Unforgettable Foundation, an inland Empire Foundation paying for disadvantaged children  burial services.   Here in Irvine, is currently a Board member/webmaster of Iranian Cultural Center of Orange County (ICCOC), a non-profit local cultural club to advance Persian cultures and studies.  He is also a recognized spokesperson for the Iranian Engineers in Caltrans, organizing cultural events to name a few.

Mr. Movahed serves as Treasurer and Chairperson of Finance  committee and maintains the IAD website.
